REBEKAH - OWNER/ELITE MASTER STYLIST - Licensed since 2003
Rebekah opened Serendipity Hair Studio in 2013 solely based on her belief that in addition to a great haircut and color the salon experience is just as important. Her vision with Serendipity was to offer every guest the highest level of service and experience. Although she's been a stylist in the Midlothian area for over 18 years, Rebekah has also been trained by global artists throughout the US and has had her portfolio published in local magazines as well as local photographers. She is most passionate about hair cutting and coloring and enjoys creating a complete look from the start to finish for each guest. As an owner and stylist, her love for her guests, team, and industry overall makes her very down to earth and dependable.

JESSICA - DESIGNER - Licensed since 2016
Jessica joined Serendipity in 2015 during her final training as a cosmetologist, looking for an apprenticeship program that offered more elite training. She has been in the industry since 2013 and completed her apprenticeship in 2015. Her advanced artistic ability shows in her work as a stylist. Not only does she enjoy highlighting and haircutting, but she is also very talented with evening styles! Jessica loves the feeling of giving someone a fresh new look. She is excited to continue her education as a stylist and keep on learning. 

STACEY - MASTER STYLIST - Licensed since 2006
Stacey joined Serendipity in 2017. She has trained under many world-renowned artists of the industry and is always ready to learn the latest trends and techniques of the trade through continuing education. Specializing in customized coloring as well as variations of bobs and short hair. Stacey is a well-rounded stylist that pays great attention to detail. She is patient and attentive and brings focus to the individuality of each one of her guests.

LAURA - ASSOCIATE DESIGNER - Licensed since 2020

​Laura joined Serendipity in 2017 when she began to pursue her love for the industry by enrolling in our apprenticeship program. She has always aspired to help people feel confident and bring out the beauty that they already have. After training under Serendipity's master stylists, she graduated with her license in July 2020. She enjoys working with all hair types and loves any color, including balayage and highlighting. Being focused on expanding her knowledge with furthering education she feels it ensures the best experience for her guests.

NORA - ASSOCIATE DESIGNER - Licensed since 2021

​Nora joined Serendipity in 2023 after moving to Virginia from small town in South Georgia. While she loves meeting new people and making new friends, she also has a love and true passion for blonding. Back in her hometown, Nora received extensive training in varying highlighting techniques such baby lights, teasy lights, and balayage. When she’s behind the chair she loves to make her guests feel beautiful and confident in their skin. She is dedicated to her craft by continuously learning and furthering her education in new techniques and evolving trends.​

CHEREE - MASTER STYLIST - Licensed since 2009
Cheree joined Serendipity in 2023. She moved to Richmond all the way from Boise, Idaho. Innovative, professional, and creative describes the very essence of her love affair with hair. Education and communication are her go-to sources for decision making and recommendations. Whether that is creating a sun-kissed California blonde, adding length or volume with the help of extensions, or refining a bold cut, she’s prepared to deliver a cutting edge, trendy look.

LEAH - MASTER STYLIST - Licensed since 2002
Leah joined Serendipity in 2016. As a well seasoned master stylist, she truly enjoys working with all types of hair. Leah is Aveda trained and specializes in razor cutting for both men and women. Her affinity for hair has brought her to international hair shows as well as training under Nick Arrojo from What Not to Wear. Leah is a great listener, and it shows in her work as her clients feel that she always listens and offers solutions to their haircare needs.

CHERYL - CLIENT RELATIONS

Cheryl joined Serendipity in 2018. Before joining the team, Cheryl’s been a longtime loyal client since 2013. She finds enjoyment in the daily interaction with all our guests both on the phone and in person. With many years of customer service experience her goal is to provide a positive and pleasant Serendipity experience. When’s she not behind the desk, Cheryl loves to spend time with her family and make amazing, sweet treats for her teammates.

RYNA - SALON MANAGER

Ryna joined Serendipity in 2019 and has been running the daily operations ever since. Her top priority is making sure that all our guests receive the ultimate Serendipity Hair Studio experience. With 10+ years of client relations experience it’s only natural that her passion for human connection and all things beauty is what makes her an integral part of our mission here at Serendipity. Outside of the studio, you can find her anywhere that has live music, good food, or spending time with her family & friends.

GRACE - APPRENTICE

SHANNON - ESTHETICIAN - Licensed since 2008

​Shannon joined Serendipity in 2021. She is a graduate of the Conservatory of Esthetics and has numerous certifications in skin care. Her knowledge, expertise, and passion in our industry make her an asset to Serendipity. She is well experienced in treating all skin types from sensitive to aging and troubled skin. She is well trained in handling all your esthetic needs while providing a relaxing, rejuvenating experience for all her guests. Shannon offers customized facials, waxing, and body treatments. She is passionate about designing a regimen tailored just for you. Come unwind and renew.

SHAWNDA - MASTER STYLIST - Licensed since 1994
Shawnda joined Serendipity in 2021. She has received training and attended many educational classes taught by some of the best in the industry throughout her career.  She strives to not only make her guests look great but also feel great. Dimensional color, balayage, and layered haircuts are some of her favorites. Shawnda also loves to transform hair with the magic of hair extensions. She is a great listener and easy going!

BRIE - SENIOR DESIGNER - Licensed since 2014
Brie joined Serendipity in 2021 when she moved to Richmond from her hometown in Maryland. She began her career and training while in high school and continued under many great stylists there.  She has a passion for balayage and creating custom colors for her guests. She enjoys building relationships with her guests and learning about their lives.  Brie has always kept continued education as a priority so that she can be up to date on all modern styles and techniques. Her main goal for her guests is to look their best and feel their best when leaving the salon.

MARGARET - MASTER STYLIST/APPRENTICE EDUCATOR - Licensed for 25+ years
Margaret joined Serendipity in 2014. She has been trained under global masters in the industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and artistic talent to our team. She enjoys all aspects of salon services including color, cutting, and chemical textures. Margaret believes that to offer elite services it is important to continue her education and stay up to date on the latest trends in haircare.

JILLIAN - SENIOR DESIGNER STYLIST - Licensed since 2010
Jillian joined Serendipity in 2015. She has always had a creative flair for the arts and loved fashion growing up. After serving in the United States Air Force, she followed her dream and completed cosmetology school in Maine. Jillian is deeply committed to the evolving trends and continuing education of her craft. Her true passion is creative color: balayage, color-melting, and ombre, she’s been trained in it all. Jillian is creative and passionate about her trade and each guest that sits in her chair!
